The stories, imbued with the view of life in Vedic times, are fascinating to read. Children of Soumani’s age (9 to 12) will find them enthralling.The illustrator, Vaijayanti Ranade, has fully captured the mood. The fiery horse, the tender scene with Yama and the pathetic story of Sunashepa, add to the charm of the moving tales.
